I haven’t posted about my third pregnancy yet, but I’m SOOOOOOOOOO excited about going in for my 20 week ultrasound tomorrow!!
We finally get to find out if we’re having a boy or a girl!
Because of my miscarriage, I think I’m more nervous about this ultrasound than I was with my son, Devin. So, boy or girl, I really just hope this baby is healthy and happy – and WAY more mellow than my son.
I’m only kinda kidding on that last part. Before I have this next baby, I’ll post about how difficult my son was in his first year so you can either A) feel sorry for me, B) commiserate with me because your child was just as difficult, or C) think I’m a terrible and clueless mom. I’m really hoping you’re a nice bunch of readers and choose option A or B.
But since we find out the sex tomorrow, does anyone want to leave a comment and guess if I’m having a boy or a girl? See the picture of me (please ignore the extra side bulge) to see how I’m carrying. I think I was subconsciously sucking in, because I swear I’m bigger than that.
Here’s a list of my pregnancy symptoms by trimester to help you guess:
First Trimester
- Major morning sickness that lasted until week 15 (lasted until week 10 with my son)
- Broke out constantly (I had perfect skin with my son)
- Headaches(had those with with my son)
- Craved salt and potatoes(craved sweet and waffles with my son)
- Had problems gaining weight, but still got bigger and wider more quickly - fun!! I gained faster with my son but seemed to look a whole lot better and had more of a pregnancy “glow”.
2nd Trimester
- Morning sickness came back at week 18, subsided, and then back again at week 20. Or I could’ve just had a bug.
- Headaches stopped like with my son. Yay! Best part about being pregnant!
- Baby is just as active as my son
- Definitely showing earlier, but this is my 3rd pregnancy
- Still craving salt
- Skin has cleared up like with my son. Another great part of pregnancy.
I also have the “Babies R Us” theory that I’d like to pass by ya’ll. My hypothesis is that when a woman is pregnant with a certain sex and goes to Babies R Us, she’s attracted to the clothes of the sex she’s going to have. What do you think?
When I went to Babies R Us when I was pregnant with my son (before I knew he was a boy), I thought all of the boys clothes were SO cute and all of the girls clothes were tacky. I just went to Babies R Us last week and found the boys clothes boring. But I seriously almost bought every single pink, flowered, and frilly dress I laid eyes on.
So, based on my picture, symptoms, and Babies R Us theory, what do you think? Boy or Girl?
As you might’ve guessed, I think I’m having a girl. I’ve been wrong twice before, so that means I’m probably having a boy.
I’ll let you know tomorrow, and I hope to upload some video of the ultrasound if my husband isn’t too shaky with the camera. Let’s hope she/he is a very healthy and happy baby.
I can’t wait to meet you, little one!

I’m pretty sure you’re either going to have a boy or a girl. Ha! I’m putting my money on boy.

You are having a girl. I had major morning sickness with my girls and none with my boys. I craved meat and potatoes type food with my girls and I craved salads with my boys! Kind of crazy how that is different!
i think its a boy
