…needed someone so bad! Yeah! Have you ever wanted someone, you just couldn’t have…
Yes, I’m an 80’s rocker chick, and No, I’m not ashamed to admit it!
My friend in California is seeing Def Leppard in concert tonight and I’m insanely jealous because they’re awesome live and they’re one of my all time favorite bands.
And here is one of my all time favorite songs. Love the hair!
I’ve been spending way too much time rehashing this vacation, but I feel like I have to document it because it’s the last time we’ll see our family and friends in California until the baby. Trust me…I’ll get back on topic soon.
Home, Sweet Home
My Mom’s house is the house I grew up in since I was 10 years old, and consider it my childhood home. So when I come back to it, I automatically feel comforted and secure. My inner child loves that!
We didn’t get to my Mom’s until very late as we were having too much fun in Sacramento, but we still got up early on Monday to go to an amusement park with my cousin, Keri, and her son, Wyatt. Continue reading “Home, Sweet Home”
On the afternoon after the wedding, the bride and groom held a BBQ down by the Truckee River which was a lot of fun and a good chance to visit with everyone without the pressure of the wedding. One of Brian’s uncle’s was delayed an extra night in Utah and didn’t make it to the wedding (sucks!), and Brian’s Dad had to pick him up that morning but didn’t have enough room to pick up Brian’s cousin and her boyfriend. So we also had to drive into Reno to pick up Brian’s cousin, which was cool, because she’s totally awesome.
The BBQ had great food and some yummy leftovers (cupcakes!) from the wedding. A lot of the younger crowd, including the bride and groom, went tubing down the Truckee River as it was a gorgeous day, while we got a bit of a chance to hang out with my MIL and FIL. Here’s a picture of the entire “Hill” clan (and, yes, I look extremely white compared to my husband’s cousin): Continue reading “A Miracle, a Missing Uncle, and Sac-town”
On the wedding day, we had a bit of an early start since I was supposed to be at the wedding site by 9:30am. The wedding site was an hour away, and we were a bit late getting to the site. Luckily the bride knows Brian and I always run about 15-30 minutes late, and told me to arrive a half hour earlier than I was really needed. Smart girl. Continue reading “The Wedding Day”
On the day of the rehearsal dinner we had a pretty lax morning. Unfortunately, Devin woke up at 5a.m., which was 7a.m. body time, so we had to keep him quiet until about 8a.m. when everyone else woke up. Internet wasn’t working too well in the cabin, but we had some of his favorite videos on an iPhone (Can I just say that I’m in love with my iPhone!). But active toddlers can be noisy, and apparently we did wake up a few people. We tried our best! Continue reading “Murphy’s Law, the Rehearsal, and the Rehearsal Dinner”
